![]() In Europe many cities have restricted access zones for cars (extremely well enforced for instance in Italy). for a few of the well known tourist places. Regarding car access restrictions - Switzerland has for a long time places where access by car (and other motorised vehicles) is not allowed or not possible. I am not using Waze, but on all of my other navigation systems radar warning is not working any more for years when driving in Switzerland, Waze seems also have removed information on police radar and other warnings for Switzerland. If caught (even without using), devices will be confiscated, fines can be very high (even to Swiss standards!). Swiss government has banned usage of any kind of warning from police road radar - navigation systems need to have radar warning deactivated or not have any information on police radar, traffic light cameras. ![]() And some of the modern navigation systems work now with GLONASS, soon with BeiDou and Galileo. ![]() GPS cannot be "banned", blocking GPS signals is technically possible, but would lead to other problems. ![]()
